Our wide-ranging evaluations across the UK have covered three main tiers of enterprise to include work with existing businesses, social enterprise and community investment and business start up programmes, all of which are included in LEGI strategies.

An aspect of our reports that our clients frequently value the most is our ability to provide development strategies and forward planning recommendations; something we often take a balanced scorecard approach to.

• Barrow-in-Furness - Evaluation of Enterprise Support in Cumbria

  In 1998 the Heart of Barrow Partnership was awarded £5,651,550 from the SRB Challenge Fund (Round V) for a 6-year regeneration programme entitled Building Bridges.

• Micro Business Support Centre

  This project was part of a three part study into the needs, demand and feasibility of establishing a facility to encourage the creation and growth of micro and small businesses within Worthing and the surrounding area.

• Community Investment Fund Evaluation

  The fund was a pilot project, based in part on the Future Builders model in England, where community and voluntary organisations and social enterprises are given capital on a commercial loan and interest basis.

• BASEC Birmingham EQUAL

  The BASEC EQUAL project was an innovative project providing pre and post start - up services and support delivered using community based agencies with links to hard-to-reach groups.

• Hackney Works (Round 6) Worklessness Engagement Programme

  This was an £875,000 programme delivered in LB Hackney to engage with economically inactive residents (such as lone parents, over 50's and people in receipt of incapacity benefit), with a view to supporting them into sustainable employment.

• Evaluation of General Business Advice Service

  An evaluation of the core provisions of support and advice to small companies throughout the whole of Wales provided by their four regional offices and over 80 enterprise agencies and providers.
