Regeneration Case Study 2
Camden Central - SRB
Wavehill was appointed by the Camden Central Partnership to undertake a mid-term evaluation and produce a forward strategy development for the Round 6 Single Regeneration Budget Scheme in the Camden Central area ("All Change in Camden").
The resulting final report fulfilled the following objectives:
To assess whether, and the extent to which, the Programme's objectives were being achieved;
To assess whether the projects approved were suitably designed to meet the Partnership's objectives;
To identify good practice and lessons learned for wider dissemination;
To inform the forward strategy
Wavehill's inclusive forward strategy recommendations were regarded by The Partnership as being the most important aspect of the evaluation, particularly as the Scheme was at a crucial half-way point. The guidance provided in the report was invaluable in informing the strategy for the remaining years of the Camden Central Partnership SRB Scheme and regeneration activity in the area.
On reflection within this contract we really become the strategic team, suggesting, testing and then releasing various strategic options that would affect the programme going forward and handing these options back to the managers to deliver. In this case we moved from evaluator to strategic partner during the evaluation project.
