Strategy Development Case Study 1
Recognising and Rewarding Excellence in Post-16 Learning in Wales - DCELLS
Wavehill was commissioned to undertake a bilingual Welsh / English consultation exercise to assist with the development of proposals to reward post-16 education providers for excellence. Specifically, we were asked to
"explore the views and opinions of providers and representative organisations on an [initial proposal for] recognising and rewarding excellence in further education, community and work based learning, to inform strategy development."
The important aspect of this research was that it needed to be undertaken in Welsh and English. We designed separate research materials in the two languages and gave every interviewee the choice of language.
The recent improvements in post-16 learning mean that this is an opportune time to progress the framework by introducing a strategy to recognise and reward excellent providers.
