Bob Townley

Bob specialises in working on projects that involve business, business surveys, employment, skills, workforce development training and labour market supply and demand models. Over the past 12 years he has delivered a wide range of research and evaluation projects and has also worked for Kingston University, and LEPU (South Bank University). He was also the managing commissioner of research, strategy and evaluation projects for London South TEC. His clients include the European Commission, Regional Development Agencies (RDAs), Learning and Skills Councils (LSCs), Development Partnerships, local authorities and local regeneration partnerships.

Bob has an economics degree (MSc) from the London School of Economics specialising in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management and has been specifically involved in projects focussing on issues of equality and diversity; with particular reference to developing approaches within SMEs. Recent projects have also addressed issues of small business support and employer training/skills needs, including research to support the wider evaluation of the Employer Training Pilot (ETP) Programme. Bob is a keen cyclist and spends most of his spare time travelling around Europe on two wheels.
