Hester Careless
Research Consultant
Hester joined Wavehill as a graduate research consultant in 2021 having previously undertaken a three-month internship as well as freelance work for the company. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Economics and Politics (BSc) from the University of Bristol (2020).
Over the course of her degree and work experience Hester has become adept at conducting both qualitative and quantitative research as well as interviews and leading focus groups on a variety of topics including young people’s mental health, gender- and ethnicity-based discrimination, and sustainable farming practices and land management. Hester has experience of working on sensitive topics, creating safe and trusting environments for research participants through her work. For her award-winning undergraduate dissertation she conducted primary research into the impact of insecure contracts on the wellbeing of academics.
