Stuart Merali-Younger

Director

Stuart has 18 years’ experience working in economic development, regeneration and related fields, as both a practitioner and consultant. He has worked in consultancy for 12 years, managing and directing delivery of evaluations, appraisals, economic impact assessments and economic strategies, for clients including central government, local authorities, local enterprise partnerships and universities. He brings expertise across a range of policy areas, including business and sector support, research and innovation, physical regeneration, energy & low carbon studies and culture-led regeneration.

Prior to consultancy work, Stuart worked for six years in local authorities in North and East Yorkshire and Cheshire, co-ordinating partnership strategy and project delivery in market town renaissance programmes and for a community safety partnership.

Stuart completed his undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, before going on to a Masters in Local and Regional Regeneration. He is also a member of the Institute of Economic Development and the UK Evaluation Society.

Outside of work he is a keen traveller, tennis player and long-suffering Nottingham Forest fan.
