Parents, Childcare and Employment (PaCE) project

In January 2016, the Welsh Government commissioned Wavehill to undertake a process evaluation of the Parents, Childcare and Employment (PaCE) project. PaCE aimed to assist out of work parents into training or employment where childcare is their main barrier to doing so. PaCE was launched in October 2015 for parents aged 25 and over. The project was subsequently extended to parents aged 16-24 who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) and the project has received an extension to 2020 having been originally due to end in March 2018. Pontypridd Lido Restoration Project

In June 2014, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council (RCTCBC) commissioned Wavehill to undertake an evaluation of the Pontypridd Lido (Lido Ponty) Restoration Project. The evaluation comprised of three phases ending in 2016. Pontypridd Lido was completed in 1927 and is Grade II listed. The Lido is situated within Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, which is adjacent to Pontypridd town centre. In the past the Lido was the largest of its kind in Wales however by the 1980s it had gradually fallen into a cycle of disuse and disrepair, eventually closing in 1991. Modelling the Need for Advice on Social Welfare Topics

The Welsh Government commissioned Wavehill and the Civic Research Initiative to estimate quantitatively the need for advice on social welfare for each of the 22 local authority areas in Wales. Model-based estimations were applied to estimate the extent of information, general advice and specialist help that would be required. In March 2015, the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership commissioned Wavehill to evaluate the impact of The Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub. Forming part of the Wave 2 Business Growth Programme the Hub was opened to bids from successful Wave 2 City Deal areas for submission in November 2013. Known locally as the Gateway for Growth Programme (G4G) the Swindon and Wiltshire programme went live in January 2014 with an end date of March 2015 for grant disbursement with outputs to be reported through to December 2016.
