Penodwyd Wavehill gan Lywodraeth Cymru i gynnal ymarfer mapio ar gyfer y sector gweithgynhyrchu yng Nghymru. Comisiynwyd y gwaith hwn mewn ymateb uniongyrchol i un o'r un ar bymtheg o faterion cyffredinol a phwyntiau gweithredu penodol a amlinellir yn nogfen y Cynllun Gweithredu Gweithgynhyrchu (MAP). Mae'r MAP yn nodi fframwaith gweithredu i helpu i ddiogelu gweithgynhyrchu yng Nghymru yn y dyfodol. Fe'i hategir gan y gwaith o geisio tri chanlyniad: i'r sector gweithgynhyrchu helpu i gefnogi; economi ffyniannus, economi werdd, ac economi gyfartal. Yn ogystal â helpu busnesau i sicrhau perfformiad ariannol cryf, mae'r pwyslais hefyd ar ddatblygu cymuned weithgynhyrchu sy'n cael effaith gymdeithasol, amgylcheddol a diwylliannol gadarnhaol ar eu cymunedau, sy'n cynrychioli ffordd fwy cyfannol o ddiffinio Gweithgynhyrchu Gwerth Uchel yng Nghymru.
Hoffem gysylltu â busnesau yn y sector gweithgynhyrchu er mwyn deall iechyd ac anghenion y sector yn well.

Beth yw'r sail gyfreithlon dros ddefnyddio'ch data?
Y sail gyfreithlon dros brosesu gwybodaeth sydd ddim at gael yn gyhoeddus yn yr ymchwil hwn yw drwy eich caniatâd. Mae cyfranogiad yn gwbl wirfoddol. Mae astudiaethau ymchwil fel hyn yn hanfodol i ddeall cyflwr presennol y sector gweithgynhyrchu yn ogystal â'i anghenion cymorth.
Pa mor ddiogel yw eich data personol?
Mae gwybodaeth bersonol a ddarperir i Wavehill bob amser yn cael ei storio ar weinydd diogel. Dim ond nifer cyfyngedig o ymchwilwyr sy'n gweithio ar y prosiect hwn all gael gafael ar y data. Dim ond at ddibenion ymchwil y bydd Wavehill yn defnyddio'r data hwn. Mae gan Wavehill ardystiad hanfodion seiber.
Wrth gynnal arolygon, mae Wavehill yn defnyddio rhaglen feddalwedd arolwg o'r enw Qualtrics. Rydym wedi sicrhau bod Qualtrics yn cydymffurfio â GDPR ac yn bodloni ein disgwyliadau o ran diogelwch unrhyw ddata a gesglir drwy'r feddalwedd (e.e. caiff yr holl ddata ei brosesu o fewn yr AEE).

How we hold and process your information
Wavehill have been appointed by Welsh Government to undertake a mapping exercise for the Manufacturing sector in Wales. This work has been commissioned in direct response to one of the sixteen over-arching issues and specific action points outlined in the Manufacturing Action Plan (MAP) document. The MAP sets out a framework for action to help future proof manufacturing in Wales. It is underpinned by the pursuit of three outcomes: for the manufacturing sector to help support; a prosperous economy, a green economy, and an equal economy. In addition to helping businesses secure a strong financial performance, the emphasis is also on developing a manufacturing community that has a positive social, environmental and cultural impact on their communities, representing a more holistic way of defining High Value Manufacturing in Wales.
We would like to contact businesses in the manufacturing sector in order to better understand the health and needs of the sector.
The majority of the data you provide will only be used for the purposes of this research, although you will be given the option to provide some basic company details to be published in Business Wales’ online business directory if you would like to do so. The Welsh Government is the data controller for the research. Wavehill will delete any personal data provided through survey and anonymise the raw data, before it is shared with the Welsh Government. Wavehill will delete the information you provide and all personal data relating to this research within six months of the end of the evaluation.
Your Participation in this research is completely voluntary. However your views and experiences are important in order to help inform Welsh Government policies.

What personal data do we hold and where do we get this information?
Personal data is defined under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) as ‘any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified by reference to an identifier’.
You have received this survey either because a key partner or network you associate with have identified you as a potential candidate for the research or Welsh Government have identified you as a business operating in the manufacturing sector. Where you have been identified as a business operating in the manufacturing sector then your contact information is held by Welsh Government and this has been passed to Wavehill to conduct a survey on behalf of the Welsh Government.
What is the lawful basis for using your data?
The lawful basis for processing information not already available in the public domain for this research is by your consent. Participation is completely voluntary. Research studies such as this are crucial to understand the current state of the manufacturing sector as well as its support needs.
How secure is your personal data?
Personal information provided to Wavehill is always stored on a secure server. The data can only be accessed by a limited number of researchers working on this project. Wavehill will only use this data for research purposes. Wavehill has cyber essentials certification.
When conducting surveys, Wavehill use a survey software programme called Qualtrics. We have ensured that Qualtrics is GDPR compliant and meets our expectations in terms of the security of any data collected via the software (e.g. all data is processed within the EEA.
Wavehill has procedures to deal with any suspected data security breaches. If a suspected breach occurs, Wavehill will report this to the Welsh Government who will notify you and any applicable regulator where we are legally required to do so.
All data gathered through this research will be reported in an anonymised format. It will not contain your contact details and any identifiable information in open-ended answers will be removed. Wavehill will use the information gathered to produce a report for Welsh Government. This report will not include any information that could be used to identify individual participants.
How long do we keep your personal data?
Wavehill will hold personal data during the contract period, and any personal data not already removed will be deleted by Wavehill six months after the end of the contract. This includes your contact details. Wavehill will provide Welsh Government with an anonymised version of the data which will not include information that could identify you. The exception to this is any information that you have given us consent to pass onto Business Wales to populate their online business directory.
Individual rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to the personal information you provide as part of this research, you have the right:
