In October 2015 The Prince’s Trust commissioned Wavehill to evaluate business survivability and growth amongst participants of the Enterprise Programme, which is supported by the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
The research is being conducted across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and, includes a survey of almost 700 participants of the Enterprise Programme. The findings from the research will provide the Prince’s Trust with a better understanding of the extent to which it is establishing viable businesses, enabling young people to be financially independent and to identify what makes a difference to the survivability and growth of the new businesses it helps to launch.
The approach uses a longitudinal methodology (surveying participants who started a business following the Enterprise Programme two to three years ago) to learn about the longer term impact of the programme. The evaluation will also identify good practice, areas for improvement and learning.
