County Durham UKSPF Programme Evaluation: Interviews Privacy Notice

Introduction

Wavehill are undertaking research on behalf of Durham County Council to complete a programme-level evaluation of the County Durham UKSPF programme and the projects within.


The information gathered is used to help Wavehill better understand the nature of the Programme, projects and impact on County Durham beyond the duration of the UKSPF Programme.


People taking part in these interviews have been chosen based on their involvement with the Technical Funding Group, in delivery or management and/or as knowledgeable stakeholders. Participation in interviews is voluntary. You can decide to not take part before or during the interview session and can choose to not answer certain questions if you prefer.

 

You are not required to provide your name or any other identifying information. Wavehill will not combine your responses with any other data that will allow you to be identified. The information is only used for analysis and research purposes. Wavehill will produce reports based on the data to be shared with Durham County Council and the Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government (MHCLG) but this will not identify any individuals.

 

Your data is deleted within six months following the completion of the evaluations expected to be January 2029. We do not share or use your information for commercial or marketing purposes. What is the County Durham UKSPF Programme?

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund seeks to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK, investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. In County Durham, UKSPF has provided a grant allocation of £33.6m for three years from 2022/23 to 2024/25. The County Durham Investment Plan sets out key challenges and opportunities for the county under the Fund’s three investment themes.


What type of information is collected through the interviews?

The interviews cover a wide range of topics. These include:

  • Background and context to the Programme within the socio-economic context of County Durham

  • Delivery design and activities

  • Monitoring and evaluations

  • Management and governance

  • Outcomes and initial impacts

 

What is personal data?

Personal data means any information that could lead to a person being identified either alone or in combination with other widely-available information, e.g. their name, their address, or details specific to that person.


The interviews does not collect any personal information and will not be joined with any other data sources.

 

How long does Wavehill hold data for?

Any data collected from this interview l be held for a period of no more than six months after it has been gathered.

 

What is the purpose of processing your answers?

The data is used for improving the Wavehill evaluation team’s understanding of the Programme and the projects within, and triangulating perceptions of the importance of the programme/project in the local context. AI and language learning models may be used to help with the analysis process.


Who has access to the data collected through the survey?

Data collected through this consultation will only be used by Wavehill for analysis and reporting purposes and will not be shared with any external organisation or partner. No individual consultation responses will be identified or used in the reporting for this research. Language learning models and 3rd party software may be used to help us process data.
