Evaluation of the GOGA Programme Privacy Notice

How we hold and process your information

Wavehill are undertaking an Evaluation of the Get Out Get Active (GOGA) programme on behalf of the Activity Alliance.


The information gathered is used to help Activity Alliance to review GOGA delivery and establish the influence the programme has on delivery for the inactive across the UK.

People taking part in the survey have been selected as they have singed up to the Nottingham Deliverers’ Network. Participation in the survey is voluntary. You can decide to not take part before or during the interview and can choose to not answer certain questions if you prefer. We expect the survey to take around 5 mins.

All data collection for this evaluation is conducted in accordance with the Market Research Society (MRS) code of conduct. Any personal information collected as part of the survey is kept confidential. Your answers to the survey will not be made public in a way that could lead to you or your household being identified. The information is only used for evaluation purposes. Reports produced by Activity Alliance from any analysis are made available on the GOGA website at www.getoutgetactive.co.uk. Wavehill will produce a report based on the data but this will not identify any individuals.

Your personal data will be deleted by the end of December 2023. Your answers to the survey are linked anonymously to other data sources for non-commercial research purposes only, unless you ask for this linkage to not take place. The anonymised data is held securely and is only ever used for non-commercial research purposes. We do not share or use your information for commercial or marketing purposes.

Under the new data protection legislation, you have the right:

  • To access your personal data held by Activity Alliance.

What is the Evaluation of the Get Out Get Active (GOGA) programme?

The evaluation of the GOGA programme is seeking to identify how well the programme is engaging people who are physically inactive in a range of activities to enable them to become more active and sustain this in the longer term. The work aims to support the programme in learning from its delivery to improve its approach on an ongoing basis and help support delivery for the very least active in the future.

What is the legal basis for collecting and processing the data collected?

The legal basis for processing information in this data collection exercise is our public task; that is, exercising our official authority to undertake the evaluation of the Get Out Get Active programme for the Activity Alliance. What is the purpose of processing your answers?

The data is used for the evaluation of the GOGA programme to assess that the programme is being delivered effectively and that it is working as well as it can for the individuals it is supporting to be active. By taking part, you will be helping the Activity Alliance and project funders understand what really works in supporting the very least active individuals to be active again and how organisations can best support them in doing this.

Who has access to the personal data collected through the survey?

Any personal information collected as part of the survey is kept confidential and is only accessed by the professional research team at Wavehill. Your answers to the survey will not be made public in a way that could lead to you being identified. The information is only used for evaluation purposes and will be used to help us write evaluation reports on the effectiveness of the GOGA programme that are then made available on the GOGA website at www.getoutgetactive.co.uk. Any reports produced by this work will not identify any individuals.
