Accessible features on our survey
As part of the design process, we have been mindful to consider inclusive design principles. This includes:
Using a colour pallet that is optimised to meet AAA standards
Having useful and appropriate hyperlinks
Ensuring the appropriate use of Alt Text across the survey
The survey has the following functionality included:
change colours, contrast levels and fonts
zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen and without content being truncated or overlapping
navigate most of the survey using just a keyboard
navigate most of the survey using speech recognition software
listen to most of the survey using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
How accessible is this survey?
Using Qualtrics’s Expert Review tools we have assessed the questions posed within this survey and have determined that most questions are compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA accessibility standards.
There are a small number of open-ended text box questions and matrix table style questions which are not fully compliant. They have been included due to the data we are looking to collect but are optional for users to complete.
