How we hold and process your information

Wavehill and Hall Aitken are undertaking a survey on behalf of Green Action Trust.


The information gathered is used to help Green Action Trust evaluate the Green Skills Academy: River Park Programme to see what elements of the programme are working well and what could be improved.  


People taking part in the survey have been chosen as they are participants in the Green Skills Academy: River Park Programme. Participation in the survey is voluntary. You can decide to not take part before or during the interview and can choose to not answer certain questions if you prefer.

 

Any personal information collected as part of the survey is kept confidential. Your answers to the survey will not be made public in a way that could lead to you being identified. The information is only used for evaluation purposes. Wavehill will produce a report based on the data but this will not identify any individuals

 

Your personal data is deleted within 6 months of the end of the contract.  Your answers to the survey are linked anonymously to other data sources for non-commercial research purposes only, unless you ask for this linkage to not take place. The anonymised data is held securely and is only ever used for non-commercial research purposes. We do not share or use your information for commercial or marketing purposes.

Under the new data protection legislation, you have the right:

1.      What is the Green Skills Academy?

The Green Skills Academy was set up by the Green Action Trust. The Green Skills Academy consists of cohorts of people within the KY8 area undergoing a programme of training and skills development, as well as targeted employability support into a positive destination (either employment, further education or a continuation of training in a specialised subject).


The Green Skills Academy aims to train 84 participants in the practical skills needed to maintain the River Park’s infrastructure and greenspaces, resulting in accredited qualification including CSCS, working at height, health & safety, first aid and more. It is also tailored to individual needs with additional support available for trainees experiencing health conditions.

 

2.      What type of information is collected through the Survey?

The survey covers a wide range of topics. This includes:

·         Your confidence about getting into work before and after the training.

·         Your skills before and after the training include teamwork and communication.

·         Your wellbeing before and after the training.

 

3.      What is personal data?

Personal data means any information that could lead to a person being identified either alone or in combination with other widely-available information, e.g. their name, their address, or details specific to that person.


The survey collects some personal data for all respondents such as your name to allow us to link your feedback before and after the training.

 

4.      How long does Wavehill personal data for?

Personal data will be kept until 6 months after the evaluation has finished. This is estimated to be July 2027.  


5.      What is the legal basis for collecting and processing the data collected?  

The legal basis for this evaluation is Public Task i.e.  Processing is necessary to evaluate the performance the Green Skills Academy programme, assess strengths and areas of improvement for future delivery of this and other similar programmes in the future.


6.      What is the purpose of processing your answers?

The purpose of these interviews is to strengthen our understanding of the impact of the Green Skills Academy Programme on participants.
