How we hold and process your information
Wavehill are undertaking a survey on behalf of Bridgend County Council.
The information gathered is used to help Bridgend County Council to identify outcomes associated with the restoration of the Maesteg Town Hall.
We are asking people who have taken part in any aspect of the project to complete a questionnaire so we can get a better understanding of the impact the project has had on individuals. People taking part in the survey have been selected by the project team. Participation in the survey is voluntary. You can decide to not take part before or during the interview and can choose to not answer certain questions if you prefer.
Any personal information collected as part of the survey is kept confidential. Your answers to the survey will not be made public in a way that could lead to you or your organisation being identified. The information is only used for statistical analysis and research purposes. Wavehill will produce a report based on the data but this will not identify any individuals.
Wavehill will delete all personal data relating to this research within six months of the end of the evaluation (scheduled to end September 2025). Your answers to the survey are linked anonymously to other data sources for non-commercial research purposes only, unless you ask for this linkage to not take place. The anonymised data is held securely and is only ever used for non-commercial research purposes. We do not share or use your information for commercial or marketing purposes.
If you have any questions, please contact Charlie Bagley at Wavehill (charlie.bagley@wavehill.com) | 0330 1228658) or Lucy Jones at Bridgend County Council (lucy.jones@bridgend.gov.uk)

Please contact Lucy Jones if you wish to do any of these things.

Further information
What is the Maesteg Town Hall Project?
Wavehill have been commissioned by Bridgend County Borough Council to support the delivery phase of the Maesteg Town Hall Project, helping to evaluate what the project has delivered and the impact it has had. The evaluation will explore the restoration of the Town Hall along with the heritage outcomes delivered as part of the NHLF-funded actvities and events plan.
What type of information is collected through the survey?
The survey focuses on people’s views of and experiences of the Maesteg Town Hall Project and any perceived outcomes as a result of their experience.
What is personal data?
Personal data means any information that could lead to a person being identified either alone or in combination with other widely-available information, e.g. their name, their address, or details specific to that person.
How will personal data be kept for?
Wavehill will hold personal data during the contract period but will delete it six months after the end of the contract (scheduled to finish September 2025).
What is the legal basis for collecting and processing the data collected? The legal basis is Legitimate Interest. The evaluation of the Maesteg Town Hall project enables Bridgend County Council to understand whether the project has been effective to date. It can therefore be used to inform the project funders (The National Lottery Heritage Fund) and future activities during the project and within the core role and functions of the organisation. For example, the information collected might be used:
To decide whether changes need to be made to the project
To understand how to implement learning into similar projects
To decide whether projects like this should continue in the future
Who has access to the personal data collected through the survey?
Wavehill will have access to personal data collected through the survey. The data will not be shared with Bridgend County Council or anyone else outside of Wavehill. Wavehill will delete all personal data within six months of the end of the project (scheduled to end September 2025).
