How we hold and process your information

Wavehill are undertaking an evaluation of the Northern Futures programme on behalf of Groundwork North East.


The information gathered is used to help Groundwork North East in developing and evidencing key indicators that illustrate the impact of the programme and provide learning that will support and inform the programme’s approach.


The standard approach to collecting data for this research will be via surveys that participants fill in. Participant details will be kept securely and deleted after the evaluation. Individuals will not be identified in any reporting without prior consent.


Any personal information collected as part of this research will be kept confidential. Your responses will not be reported in a way that could identify you. Survey data will be shared with Groundwork North East so they can understand the findings and help improve the project. However, before any data is shared, all names, contact details, and any other information that could identify you will be removed. Groundwork North East will only receive fully anonymised data, and individuals will not be identifiable in any outputs or reports.


Your personal data is deleted within six months of project completion. We do not share or use your information for commercial or marketing purposes.

  • To require Groundwork North East to correct any mistakes in that data.

Why is this research happening?

Wavehill has been commissioned by Groundwork North East to evaluate the Northern Futures programme. The purpose of the evaluation is to understand how the programme is being delivered, what support people are receiving and what impact the programme is having on participants.


Your feedback will help Groundwork North East to understand what is working well and how the programme can be improved in future.

 

What is personal data?

Personal data is information that could identify you on its own or when combined with other information (for example, your name, contact details, or any specific demographic information).

For this evaluation, we only collect personal data if it is necessary- for example, to arrange an interview or to understand who has taken part in a general sense (such as age band or gender).All personal data is used only for evaluation purposes and will not be used to identify individuals in any reporting.


How long does Wavehill keep personal data for?

Data will be kept for six months after completion of the evaluation (approx. October 2026).

 

What is the legal basis for collecting and processing the data collected?  

The legal basis is legitimate interest. The evaluation helps Groundwork North East to understand what is working well, what could be improved, and the impact on people that have received support from the Northern Futures programme.  

 

What is the purpose of processing your answers?

All responses are used for research and evaluation only.Data is analysed to understand delivery and impact across the programme.
