How we hold and process your information 

Wavehill and Hall Aitken are undertaking a survey on behalf of Green Action Trust. 

The information gathered is used to help Green Action Trust evaluate the River Park Programme and understand more about ways in which the community engage with the park.   

Participation in the survey is voluntary. You can decide to not take part before or during the survey and can choose to not answer certain questions if you prefer.  

 

Any personal information collected as part of the survey is kept confidential. Your answers to the survey will not be made public in a way that could lead to you being identified. The information is only used for evaluation purposes. Wavehill will produce a report based on the data but this will not identify any individuals 

 

Your personal data is deleted within 6 months of the end of the contract.  Your answers to the survey are linked anonymously to other data sources for non-commercial research purposes only, unless you ask for this linkage to not take place. The anonymised data is held securely and is only ever used for non-commercial research purposes. We do not share or use your information for commercial or marketing purposes.

Under the new data protection legislation, you have the right: 

  • To access your personal data held by Green Action Trust. 

  • To require the Green Action Trust to correct any mistakes in that data.

  • For (in certain circumstances) your data to be ‘erased’.

  1. What is the River Park Programme? 

The River Park Programme aims to create an accessible, attractive and biodiverse public park for the local communities of Levenmouth, as well as visitors to the area, through the delivery of 11 projects. By improving the physical and ecological conditions of the river; creating better access to the river and between communities; as well as creating opportunities to improve people’s health, well-being and economic prospects, all partners realise that more can be achieved working together than can be achieved working alone. 

 

  1. What type of information is collected through the Survey?  

The survey covers a wide range of topics. This includes: 

  • Your engagement with the park  

  • Your perceptions of the park and the programme 

  • Your engagement and interests in the future  

 

  1. What is personal data? 

Personal data means any information that could lead to a person being identified either alone or in combination with other widely-available information, e.g. their name, their address, or details specific to that person.  

The survey collects some personal data for all respondents such as demographics, but this won’t be used to identify you.  

 

  1. How long does Wavehill personal data for? 

Personal data will be kept until 6 months after the evaluation has finished. This is estimated to be July 2027.   


  1. What is the legal basis for collecting and processing the data collected?   

The legal basis for this evaluation is Public Task i.e.  Processing is necessary to evaluate the performance of the River Park programme, assess strengths and areas of improvement for future delivery of this and other similar programmes in the future. 


  1. What is the purpose of processing your answers?  

The purpose of these survey is to strengthen our understanding of the engagement with the park by the local community.
