About the study
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) is a central pillar of the UK government’s ambitious agenda and a significant component of support for places. It provides £2.6 billion of funding to local authorities in the UK for local investment for the period 2022 to March 2025, with all areas of the UK receiving an allocation from the fund via a funding formula. UKSPF funding is allocated straight to local areas and can be used to support a wide range of activities and outcomes.
The overarching objectives of the UKSPF are to improve life chances in a local area and to support the local economic performance.
