The Welsh Government has commissioned Wavehill to carry out research to identify the gaps in economic and fiscal data and analysis in Wales, understand why those gaps exist, and explore the options for addressing them.
As part of the project, Wavehill will interview stakeholders such as research funders, think tanks, research institutes, academics and Welsh Government officials via Microsoft Teams.
The findings will be used to inform and support policy development aimed at strengthening economic and fiscal evidence in Wales.
The interviews will explore how Wales’s economic and fiscal evidence system operates, why evidence gaps persist, which gaps matter most, and what could improve the system.
Although the Welsh Government is the data controller for the research, Wavehill will not share any personal data gathered from the interviews, only an outcome report containing anonymised data will be shared with the Welsh Government.
This anonymised information collected during the research will be included in a report published on the Welsh Government website and may feature in other Welsh Government publications.
Taking part is entirely voluntary, but your views and experiences will help shape future Welsh Government policy.
The contact for this research at Wavehill is Michael Pang. E-mail address: michael.pang@wavehill.com / Telephone number: 0330 1228658.
