How we hold and process your information
Wavehill are undertaking research on behalf of Vale of Glamorgan Council. The information gathered is used to help Vale of Glamorgan Council develop an Economy, Employment and Skills Strategy.
Wavehill will conduct a series of consultations with stakeholders within Vale of Glamorgan council, external stakeholders and businesses deemed relevant to our Economy, Employment and Skills study. Participation in the consultations is voluntary. You can decide to not take part before or during the interview and can choose to not answer certain questions if you prefer.
You are not required to provide your name or any other identifying information. Vale of Glamorgan Council will not combine your responses with any other data that will allow you to be identified. Your answers to the survey will not be made public in a way that could lead to you or your household being identified. The information is only used for statistical analysis and research purposes. Reports produced by Vale of Glamorgan Council from any analysis are made available on their website. Wavehill will produce a report based on the data but this will not identify any individuals.
Your personal data is deleted within six months following the completion of the research in February 2026. Your answers to the business survey may be linked anonymously to other data sources for non-commercial research purposes only, unless you ask for this linkage to not take place. We do not share or use your information for commercial or marketing purposes. The information is only used for statistical analysis and research purposes.

The research itself does not directly gather personal data from participants. However, it is important to note that personal information, such as contact details, may have been provided to or by Wavehill for the purpose of conducting the research.
How long does Wavehill store data for?
Data will be stored for 6 months following the completion of the research, expected in February 2026.
What is the legal basis for collecting and processing the data collected?
Consent. This can be withdrawn at any time.
What is the purpose of processing your answers?
The data is used to help inform the development of an Economic Strategy by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Who has access to the data collected?
Only Wavehill will have access to any personal data shared with them. Any personal data will be removed from any outputs generated. Large language models and 3rd party software may be used to help us process data.
