This week we had our annual Away Day in Birmingham. It is an opportunity for us to come together, to share company news and updates, discuss new innovations and further our Social Value policies. These Away Days are an integral part of Wavehill’s culture, and as an employee-owned company allows us to ensure we get feedback and input from staff to help shape and embed the strategic direction and values of our company.
It was also an opportunity to celebrate our project successes over the last year and recognise our expanding portfolio of work and clients. We took the time to look forward as we evolve our offering to clients and staff; this is particularly important against the current rapidly changing economic and policy landscape.
At Wavehill we operate a hybrid working model, and the Away Days provide us with an important opportunity to connect in person with colleagues from across different offices around the UK. It was also a fantastic opportunity to meet, and to welcome, our newest staff members to Wavehill; Beth, Iwan, Marianne, Niccolo and Rhys.
But it was not all business! We had a chance to unwind at a local cookery school where we got to learn how to prepare a shared meal or cocktail for the rest of our team. Everyone had a lot of fun and are already looking forward to next year’s Away Day!
